Reptile Care & Rescue Info
💚 Our Rescue Journey
For the past 14 years, I’ve been dedicated to rescuing reptiles. For roughly half that time, I also worked in foster care, helping rehabilitate and rehome reptiles in need.
We do not breed any of our reptiles, and we will never breed our rescues—our focus is strictly on care, stability, and lifelong homes whenever possible.
🐍 Our Current Animal Family
Right now, our home is shared with a very full (and very loved) exotic family:
- 6 Bearded Dragons
- 2 Crested Geckos
- 1 Leopard Gecko
- 1 Blue-Tongue Skink
- 2 Ball Pythons
- 1 Curly Hair Tarantula
- 1 Betta Fish
- 3 Cats
- 1 Dog
Of our reptiles, only two were purchased from breeders—the rest are all rescues who found their way into our care and stayed.
Recommended Exotic Vet (Louisville, Ky)
When working with reptiles and exotics, having a knowledgeable vet is essential. One trusted option in the Louisville area is:All Pets Veterinary Center📞 (502) 384-0551🌐 Visit All Pets Veterinary CenterThey provide care for a wide range of exotic animals and are a solid resource for wellness exams, illness care, and emergency support.
🕊️ End-of-Life Care & Cremation Services
Saying goodbye to an exotic pet is one of the hardest parts of keeping them. Unlike cats and dogs, reptiles often have limited local options for respectful and affordable aftercare. We personally had a deeply meaningful experience with: Faithful Companions Pet Cremation Services🌐 Visit Faithful CompanionsWhen we lost our two sandfish skinks, many local services quoted $180+ per small reptile, sometimes without even providing a cremation box or return of remains. In contrast, Faithful Companions offered a flat-rate, compassionate service ($210 total) for both of them together. They provided: Individual care and respect for our pets, A beautiful shared urn and plaque. Clear, empathetic communication throughout the process, a significantly more affordable option compared to other quotes we received. Not every place is equipped to handle exotics with care and understanding, but they truly were.

🐾 Final Note
Every animal deserves informed care, patience, and respect—whether they arrive as rescues, long-term companions, or unexpected additions to the family.
