🎨 About Quilted Dragon Co.

Meet the Owner~

Creativity has always been at the center of everything I do. I’ve been drawing since I was a toddler, and over the years that love of art never really stopped evolving—it just kept expanding into new forms.

I create logos, custom artwork, and digital designs, including every reptile-inspired logo you see throughout Quilted Dragon Co. Each one is hand-drawn on my iPad and developed into labels, branding, and product identities. Alongside that, I still take on art commissions, bringing custom ideas to life for others who want something personal and unique.

My creative journey didn’t stop at drawing. About 12 years ago, I began cosplaying, eventually teaching myself how to sew and construct entire costumes by hand. I design my own patterns, build everything from scratch, and have even competed. While I still enjoy cosplay, I’ve found myself drawn more toward the process of creating than the act of wearing the finished pieces.

That love of making things eventually became the foundation of what is now Quilted Dragon Co.

Originally, this business started as Smelly Beardies when I turned 18. At the time, I was trying to find my footing, but being in a smaller location made growth difficult and the project was eventually paused. After moving to Louisville, Kentucky, I found myself surrounded by a larger community of like-minded people, artists, and reptile keepers—which gave me the space and confidence to rebuild and reimagine what this could be.

That’s when Quilted Dragon Co. was born: a rebrand that brought together my love of sewing, handmade creation, natural self-care products, and digital art into one cohesive space. It became a way to blend all the things I care about—art, animals, and storytelling—into something tangible.

Today, I’m 27 and continuing to grow Quilted Dragon Co. not just as a shop, but as a space for connection and education. Beyond creating products, I want this to be a place that highlights:

  • The importance of reptile conservation and conservation overall.

  • The beauty and intelligence of reptiles as misunderstood animals

  • Responsible care for new and experienced keepers

  • And the joy of creativity in everyday life

Reptiles are often overlooked or misunderstood, but they are incredible animals deserving of respect, proper care, and appreciation.

Quilted Dragon Co. is proudly an LGBTQ+ and disabled-owned small business, built on acceptance, creativity, and community. My partner also helps with scent creation and vending at expos, and is currently learning how to make our self-care products so I can focus more deeply on the sewing side of the business as we continue to grow.

At its core, this is a space meant to be whimsical, welcoming, and real—a place where art, animals, and creativity can exist together without judgment, and where people can learn, explore, and feel at home.
